A pseudo-Pictures at an Exhibition (without a Promenade) utilizing pieces of visual art from Black and Brown musicians in a 10-movement suite, through both through-written & graphic notation.

One of my biggest fears is the open water - treading in an unnatural body, not knowing what lies beneath the surface. This is my sonic interpretation of one of the darkest parts of the ocean, the Abyssopelagic Zone.

Based on the amygdala, the emotional processor of the brain, the increasingly growing soundscape of timbres de l'esprit is meant to mirror the feeling of being overwhelmed, both mentally and physically, taxing both the audience as well as the musicians playing the piece.
